I've been thinking...
...about my breasts. Unusual? No. I have a shower coming up soon, as many of you know. Invitations should be arriving yesterday or today!! : ) Is it appropriate to have a breast pump on my registry for the shower? I just don't know.
I think it's very appropriate. Unless Richard would prefer going to Target and getting that piece of equipment for you at a very late time of night because you never received one and OMS you need one NOW! Not that my husband could sympathize with doing that himself or anything. :) It's all good. I think we registered for and received breast pads.
Go for it. If people are uncomfortable with it, they won't choose to buy that item off of your registry. Also, it helps people know that you have chosen to breastfeed, so they won't overshower you with bottles.....
Check with your insurance company and see if they'll cover the Medela ones that can usually be bought from the hospital. That's how I, and many people I know, were able to get theirs.
In our little backward town you can rent a pump from a happy place called, "Milkworks." All the parts that touch you are your own but the actual pump gets rented to you so when you're no longer using is someone else can. How cool is that?

Perfectly appropriate. It all comes with the package of having a baby...

All very good points. Thanks, guys!

Absolutely appropriate. You'll need it, and anyone uncomfortable with buying it ... won't.
I have a pump on my registry. I hope you get one (me too)! It was a wonderful thing with my last one and I now regret giving it away!
Yes!! Double pumper, girl. You can't go wrong with the double pumper.
Doublepumper.
Doublepumper.
Thanks, Rainman.
