Believe me, if I had known, at this exact moment that SJ was going to do a nosedive off the toilet, I would have put the camera down. As it works out, this perfectly timed photo will haunt her for the rest of her life.
She was fine, by the way, if not a tad surprised to find herself in a tri-pod position on the bathroom floor.

hee hee hee! Perhaps a step stool is in order? That's a great photo.
Aaahaaaaahahahaha! Laughing out loud over here! Also jealous...Nathan is over 3&1/2 and I am impatiently waiting for him to have even an ounce of interest in trying out his little bum on the pot.
Um Erin? Why are you potty training a one year old? It might be just me, but it seems quite early? In the nursery most of the kids I had were 2-3 years old before they could hold it.
:)
What can I say? Shirley is incredibly advanced and a shining star among one-year-olds.
Good times. Shirly Girly is up for anything isn't she?? :)
KJ,
Tims is 3 1/2 too. He decides if it's a diaper or underpants day. He can train himself. I'm tired.
Erin was trained before Lauren was born 16 months later. Or more likely her mother was trained. I just couldn't stand the idea of diapers on two of them. Lauren trained at about the same age, but she was so small we had to get custom made panties! McClain on the other hand as a whole different story. He was at least 4.
Isabelle is on dry day number 2 at day care and going pretty well at home. I cannot wait to be done with Diapers. I keep buying the cases knowing with my luck we will be left will 100 diapers and she will decide that she is done with them completely.
OH and I wanted to add that your bathroom floor looks clean enough to eat off of!!
so glad my bosses aren't in yet so no one can hear me laughing this hard! oh little sj. better luck next time!
p.s. i plan to have my child entirely trained by the age of six months. i'll show the diaper industry!
haha
Ya, having the Mamma trained and the Baby trained are two different things. If the Mamma forgets or misses the right time to put her on the potty you get a mess. Jen once said that if they can't wipe their own poop properly then they aren't trained. I once read somewhere that physically they are not even able to "hold" it until the age of two because of some muscle....Sphincter muscle? It hasn't completely developed yet.
