Merrrrry Christmas.

I had my heart set on sending out my Christmas cards in tomorrow's mail so today I was on a mission. A Christmas card mission. A Christmas card mission from God.
Well, you can imagine how it went. Shirley Jean LOVED getting dressed up in her special dress and shoes, but then was not at all interested in having her picture taken. I took 109 photos, and got four mediocre photos for our card. Here is just a sampling of what I'm talking about:

My mom and husband told me to relax and walk away from it for a while, but I ignored them and forced the issue. I insisted on finishing the Christmas card with the four usable photos (I'm not kidding), and now I'm feeling insecure about it. It's too late now. Everything is paid for, sealed and stamped.

And the meaning of Christmas is? When are you coming and how long can you stay?

While it is probably not your original plan, you probably actually ended up capturing SJ's personality much more than you realize. Such things will continue to happen through her (and babe 2's) life. The best laid plans of moms oft go astray (and usually much to her bewilderment!)

judging by these photos, your little shirley girlie moves roughly slower than the speed of light.

I feel your pain. It was very challenging getting Ivan to sit still for the Christmas photo!

I laughed a little out loud here in the library at school after looking at the photos. I totally remember trying to get a "decent" photo of my kids when they were little... not an easy achievement, but a GOOD memory!

Lose the insecurity girl! The card shows perfect Christmas joy and excitement! I love it :) Merry Christmas to you and yours. I'm hoping to do our pics today and get something done still. It may take a miracle :)

Whoa she moves fast! Thankfully cuteness is not blurred by speed...
