Bathroom Door: Closed. Save yourself the trouble.

The bathroom is a dangerous place. Lots of ways to get hurt, into yucky things, etc., blah, blah, blah.

What I never thought about was what kind of a problem the bathroom DOOR could be.

Shirley keeps closing herself in the bathroom and then banging on the door to be let out. This poses a problem: I can easily open the door to rescue her, but not without smooshing her across the bathroom floor.

Sigh.

Anyway, the bathroom door stays closed from now on.

Happy Birthday, Shirley Jean!

My baby turned one yesterday. I indulged in a good fifteen minutes of weeping over her increased age, and then moved on. At 10:28 yesterday morning, I showed her just how they handed her to me when she was born. She obliged by crying similarly to that day and then we went out to lunch.

We had a nice little party for her here in Florida. Here are some snapshots from the day.

Apparently, all I had to do to cure Shirley Jean of Fifth Disease was blog about it.

These photos were all taken in under a minute. It's like she's making up for lost time by ZOOMING around the living room, talking up a storm, singing songs and dancing. She's also been trying to feed Pedro the same candy wrapper for about ten minutes now. He keeps falling for it.
